Church Wharf will create a distinctive new neighbourhood that brings together new homes, offices and leisure developments around a riverside location.
It will be a place where old meets new, with repurposed historic buildings standing by modern architecture, complementing and knitting seamlessly with successful retail and leisure developments close by.
Bolton Council has taken the lead in paving the way for Church Wharf to move forward. A complex site, it currently contains largely derelict warehouse and factory buildings which are being acquired and cleared by the council.
Church Wharf is also pivotal to improving accessibility in the south east of the town centre and will directly link with developments at Trinity Quarter.
The masterplan vision is for riverside townhouses and apartments, offices, cafés, restaurants, a hotel and other leisure uses – all woven together by high quality open public spaces.
