AHR was commissioned by English Cities Fund in 2014 to develop the New Bailey Zone A/C masterplan as part of the local authority's wider regeneration project for Salford central alongside the Phase 1 residential development. The development of the masterplan provides an attractive riverside residential environment.
The first of two build to rent apartment blocks at New Bailey, The Slate Yard Quartz Building, opened in July 2017 and has already been awarded the WhatHouse? Gold Award for Best Build to Rent Project. Its sister block, The Slate Yard Graphite Building, is due to open at the beginning of 2018.
Due to the success of the development at New Bailey, a Private for Sale 20 storey apartment block and a 637 space Multi Storey Car Park are due to commence on site in 2018, with further residential blocks planned.
